Wish it was longer and kind of ended abruptly. Needed more storyline. Other than that it was pretty good. But, LONGER!Product details

Wolf A Freedom Story Little Books Big Stories eBook Tom Lang Reviews
I love all of Tom Lang's books and this one doesn't disappoint. I love wolves and hate the way these intelligent and beautiful animals are being slaughtered. Wolf educates about this important issue but in a very unique way. The book gets the point across by using humor and is Tom's writing ever funny. He brings this important issue to life by telling a story of wolves going under cover as dogs. It is a truly unique and refreshing way to look at this issue. I laughed out loud throughout the book. I highly recommend this book and all of Tom's books. A really novel way to educate about important issues. If you purchase the book directly from Tom's website[...] part of the proceeds are donated to a wildlife/environmental charity.
Wolf is a well crafted story that evokes laughter, empathy and a deeper understanding of wolves as a species. Without being anthropomorphic in the sentimental sense, the author has managed to put us inside the wild canine's mind and heart to feel the intrinsic urges that our culture tries so hard to dominate and destroy. Amidst humor, this important little book also offers a stark reminder of the ruthless and ongoing war on wolves that must be stopped, attested to by the author's statistical facts that make this story a learning tool for all ages.
Tom Lang's books always expose the underbelly of a cultural condition with humor, understanding, and knowledge. Wolf is no exception. He continues his tradition with this quick read that takes wolves, needlessly hunted in the wild, undercover as domestic dogs. The portrayal of the intelligent creatures give the reader instruction in the culture of the pack as well as the nature of this beautiful animal. A must-read for anyone who likes nature, animals, or books! In fact, start with Coffee Coffee An Obsession Story and read your way through this thoroughly enjoyable collection.
What I love about all Tom's books is how much you learn and how much you laugh in just the space of a few pages. Having just read the last in Maggie Stiefvater's wolf trilogy (Shiver, Linger, Forever) it was fun to read something that also exposes the needless slaughter of these gorgeous, intelligent animals. But this story isn't a diatribe it's a laugh out loud funny story of a wolf who tries to go deep cover as a domestic pet in order to stay hidden from the hunters out to get him and the rest of his wolf pack. It's also a lesson for all of us about freedom. Nice little gift or stocking filler along with the others!
great little read
